Montecatini specializes in the comprehensive care of adolescent and adult women struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and associated disorders. Established in 1991, Montecatini’s two residences offer a home-like setting for residential, day, and intensive outpatient treatment. Located in the beautiful north costal area of San Diego, California, Montecatini is known as a pioneer in the treatment of eating disorders. Our home-like atmosphere provides a scenic and peaceful surrounding that enhances our individualized treatment programming.

Treatment Philosophy
Montecatini believes that an eating disorder does not define a woman--it holds her hostage. We provide an individualized, patient-focused, and intensive treatment program in a safe and nurturing environment. Our holistic approach to treatment addresses the complexity of the disorder by utilizing several different treatment modalities. We understand each individual is unique and because Montecatini is a small facility, we are able to design a detailed treatment program for every patient. Our goal is to help our patients return to lives that are not only functional, but joyful as well. Family Program
Our model values a family-systems approach and working with families is a critical component to treatment. We provide at least one family session per week either at Montecatini or on the phone.

Twelve Step Involvement
The 12-step program is an additional support system for the eating disorder patient.
