Dr. Alexander Logan, University of Toronto, tested 220 people ages 18 to 50 who suffered from kidney stones. He found that those who were eating a diet of healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products had high levels of potassium in their urine.
The advantage of doing this eight-dollar urine test is that people do not always provide accurate reports of their diets to their doctors.
